For week 1 in ARCH1390, we had to research either a well known architect, artist or a designer, and 2 of their works, which we were to represent with folding 1 sheet of paper. I chose Frank Lloyd Wright and his works Falling Water and the Goetsch-Winkler House.
This is the photograph of the paper i folded. This is representing Falling Water, where the house has a lot of overhangs at different widths and thicknesses.
This is the rendered image I modelled in Google SketchUp.
This is the photo of the paper I folded to represent the Goetsch-Winkler House. The house has a large stone wall in the middle with timber construction and overhangs on each side.
This is the model I did in Google SketchUp.
A part of the task was to take a photo of another students folding and model it ourselves. This is the other students folding.
This is the model I did in Google SketchUp of his folded model.
